Sustainable School Supplies
You use a school diary or exercise book for a whole school year, every day. That is why at Scholis we choose items that last a long time and burden the environment as little as possible. Below you can read honestly what we do, and where the limits lie.
Our own products
For the products of our own Scholis brand we deliberately choose sustainable materials:
- Grip Schoolagenda: FSC-certified paper and a sturdy linen hardcover that lasts the whole year.
- Flashcards A7 Pastel: sturdy 250 g/m² card with EU Ecolabel, so you can repeat the cards often without them wearing out.
Lasting a long time is the biggest gain: a diary or card that you do not have to replace halfway through the year saves material and money.
Planting trees with Trees for All
We use a lot of paper. That is why we plant 10 trees every month through Trees for All, and extra after good months. By now some 500 trees are in the ground thanks to orders at Scholis.
Sustainable choices from other brands
Besides our own brand we sell STABILO and Oxford. These deliberately include more sustainable variants:
- STABILO GREEN BOSS highlighters, made of recycled plastic.
- STABILO Pointball NatureCOLORS Wildflower, refillable ballpoint pens with recycled plastic.
- Oxford Notebook Origins with EU Ecolabel and Oxford My Rec'up made of recycled paper.
Please note: the sustainability claims of STABILO and Oxford are those of the manufacturer. Not every product from these brands is recycled; check the product page to see what applies to that product.
